How do you visualise a garment designed to respond to the body in motion? For the ASICS ACTIADAPT™ garment, we created a visual system that transforms invisible performance into something tangible. Combining motion capture, thermal visualisation and detailed CGI, the film reveals the relationship between movement, rising body temperature and adaptive garment design. A technical story, brought to life through energy, atmosphere and movement.

To demonstrate the garment in motion, we built a detailed digital t-shirt asset designed to perform from full-body running sequences through to macro material studies. Every element was carefully developed to capture the garment’s lightweight construction, technical fabric and engineered structure. The asset was then fitted to a digital runner driven by real motion-capture data, allowing the material to move, stretch and react naturally with the body.
We developed a dynamic heat-map treatment to visualise temperature building across the body as the runner moves. Thermal gradients travel across the motion-captured form, revealing key heat zones and creating a clear visual connection between exertion and the garment’s engineered design. Layers of colour, particles and flowing currents transform complex performance data into an intuitive, expressive visual language.
The environment was designed as an extension of the garment’s performance story. Atmospheric detail and shifting light create a world that feels both scientific and elemental. As the story unfolds, the environment responds: energy builds, air begins to flow and hues shift around the garment.
Beyond their creative brilliance, they have a remarkable ability to truly understand what we want to communicate and, just as importantly, what we want to avoid. We are deeply grateful for their outstanding work.
